Joshua 1:8 is one of my favorite verses. I (Katie) can remember memorizing it for a quiz in a Christian private high school. My best friend Tiffany and I were at a Mexican restaurant trying to prepare for our memory verse for the week. We were chanting “this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth”. Can’t remember why we were studying over refried beans, but this verse has stuck with me.
Do not depart. Abide. Remain.
The Bible is full of charges to stay close to Jesus, our source, supply and sustenance. Do Not Depart exists to help you do just that—stay close to Jesus.
