Do Not Depart

Encouragement and Tools to Abide in God's Word

Our Beliefs

About God …

Creator and Sustainer of all life; Holy, perfect, and just; All-knowing and and all-powerful.

About Man …

Created in the image of God for relationship with Him; Fallen as the result of sin (disobedience to God’s loving direction).

About Jesus …

Only-begotten Son of God; Born of flesh to fulfill the prophecies of reconciliation between God and man; Crucified without cause as He lived a sinless life; Died, buried and risen on the third day; Appeared to many before His ascension; Dwelling now at the right hand of the throne of God interceding on our behalf; Will return as a Bridegroom to reclaim His bride, the church.

About the Holy Spirit …

Third person of the Trinity (with God the Father and Jesus the Son);  Indwelling the believer providing counsel and instruction, understanding and wisdom.

About Sin …

Natural condition of all humankind as result of free will … ALL have sinned (Romans 3:23) and the result of our sin is death (Romans 6:23).

About Salvation …

God’s desire for reconciliation is offered as the free gift of salvation, through Jesus Christ alone; His sacrifice paid the debt for our sin; Cannot be bought or earned by our doing.

About Scripture …

Living, vibrant, active Word of God; Breathed by Him and written through inspired men; Scripture is without mistake or error and is in every way useful to our growth  and understanding.
