On the journey from a shaky to an unshakeable faith, it can be really hard to “count it all joy,” and in the midst of a trial, a “little while” can seem like a long time. Ground Zero in your trial may feel like the loneliest place you’ve ever been, with few rays of sunlight. In those moments, we may lift our eyes heavenward and wonder if God sees us and our pain, if He’s working, and if the disappointment covering us as we tremble in front of that roadblock could possibly be used for good.

As we shore up the foundations of our faith during these weeks together, our team invites you to sit down with us on Fridays as we share first-hand experiences of watching God use trials to strengthen our faith and that of women where we live.

Today I want to share the story of a U-turn, a desperate prayer, and God’s amazing provision in the middle of one woman’s trial. None of it was by chance; it was all part of His perfect plan to give a group of woman Unshakeable Faith.

How is God strengthening YOUR faith this week?

Julie, thanks for sharing this great testimony of faith and how God works in our trials to bring about good for us! And thanks for your willingness to be His tool!

Well I was slow to start … until He prodded me to do a u-turn! It’s exciting when you start to realize “this was not a coincidence at all … God is at work!”

Is the story written anywhere in the book? Because of my deafness it is difficult to understand video talks.

Hi Betty, I’m sorry to say I haven’t written this story out anywhere. We hoped to offer the variety of a vlog format. I’m sorry it’s challenging to receive it that way. Have you found a technology resource that makes it easier to transcribe oral language for those with hearing needs? If you have a copy of the book form of Unshakeable Faith, Kathy does include excellent testimonies that accompany each chapter, and I know those would be encouraging for you.

It WAS cool, and it was really neat to have Anne share the story with the lady who received the bag of school supplies was delivered for me. THAT lady then realized that God used HER need to bring about the meeting of another woman’s need. We were all caught up in God’s amazingly personal plan for us all.

This is a beautiful story, Julie. I love hearing how God answers prayers, using those who are open to his leading.

It really made me stop and consider what I would’ve missed if I would’ve ignored His leading that day and would’ve “refused” to turn about and go back.
