John-15-15_DoNotDepart

He calls us friends. Can this even be true? Yes, by the grace of God! Express your amazement straight to Him as you dwell on these words. . . .

No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
John 15:15

We’re only memorizing one verse this week. Will you join us July 28 – August 3 as we rest in these words from Jesus?

At first glance, this seems like such a “small,” common thought, but then …. when we really meditate on what this MEANS to us … WOW! It is so amazing that God Himself calls us friend. Love this.

My impressions exactly, Julie. We can scan that verse in a second and move on. But if we really stop to think about it, it is an astounding truth that is hard to even comprehend.

To be graced with His friendship is definitely too much for my mind to hold, too, Bart. So thankful He’s not limited by our finiteness.
